Your Favorite Jamaican Foods

Lawd Jesus, I need a break from all this political mumbo jumbo. As much as Kimani loves to delve into those particular shark-infested waters I need a break.

As much of a health nut that I am, anything Jamaican is automatically exempted from my nutritional restrictions.

So here is a partial list of my favorite foods, and definitely not in any particular order. What's yours?
-Shirley Biscuits (They taste different when they're imported.)
-Patty
-Ting
-Brown Stew Chicken
-Oxtail
-Pan Chicken (preferably from Red Hills road late at night...or rather early in the morning.)
-Drops
-Asham
-Tamarind Balls (I like the Honeycomb Brand)
-Steamed Fish with Exelsior Water Crackers (Bammy is a plus!)

Kimani, Asham is from the country of your birth. It is pulverized corn which is parched with sugar. Real good eating . . . but only a country man would know that. Big up all the farmers!

Well Loi I am no country man, straight Kingstonian. Since I have aged gracefully, I have learned to appreciate my Jamaican foods even more but still, me nuh know no asham or whatever. Me is a Jerk chicken man, and yes Loi, jerk chicken diffrant from pan chicken, but oh I forgot that you are a Jamerican. I could a called you a Jafakan, but I give you more credability than that. A gwaan like sey yu know good yard food...oh please, and I hope you can understand the Jamaican dialect.
