My scenario is this: Pretend you were Hillary's campaign manager and convince me why I should vote for your candidate and not the other.
A little p.s. for our readers...Kimani has decided to be gracious and loosen up the "blogger strings" so that MOB and I can jump into discussions and have things a little more balanced around these parts.

Ok, Ms. Laing, yes I'm smitten with Hillary, I won't pitch anything to you but I will advise you to watch both of them speak and listen to the messages, change vs real solutions that Hillary has always provided, more substance behind the sppeches, whether they are bullshit or not. I think she has made a better realistic case and it does not hurt to have a great former President in your corner either . I'm not into convincing anyone to voting for any candidate, that's not my job, it's their campaign's job. I'm only voicing my opinions, for whom I see as a better fit in an open forum, my right as a voter in these great United States.
Real solutions to what specifically? I've heard it said that Senator Clinton has more solutions than actual problems exist.
I wasn't asking you to convince me. I was inviting you into an educational exercise. What, aren't you up to the challenge?
Ha ha ha ha, I'm always up to the challenge Ms. Laing, my brain waves are not working to engage you in your conversation to the extent that I would like...but never the less.
She has, to what I have heard, seen and read about, a blueprint for her candidacy, a solution to the housing crisis, i.e. freeze interest rates, help families facing foreclosure and the works, she was the first (check it) to come out with such a plan and as usual everyone else follows. She has plans likewise, to attempt to fix healthcare (I'm not saying Mr. Obama doesn't), fix our foreign policy, and I have heard them debate this issue and I think her ideas with regards to Iran and the other "axis of evil" is a more pratical approach than Mr Obama, in that he said off the bat initially he would meet with our enemies but has since changed his view (this is not hear sey, I was keeping a real close eye at one point in time to the back and forth, but I have since stopped). For your knowledge how about you watch a few debates and visit her website, browse around a little and form an opinion, I will give you the direct link to her plans.

This is why I will remain an independent voter. The dems are splintered and doomed for failure in November and the Reps are just out of touch. What we need to realize is this is a very emotional race for many reasons, most notably race, gender, economy etc. What the dems don't realize is that there are those in their party who will not vote for the other candidate in november if the candidate they are support now does not win. In fact, the moderator for this blog has repeatedly said he would vote for McCain or not vote at all if Obama wins. Likewise, Obama supporters are equally emotionally charged. This will be the sweetspot for the dems. They will not be able rally their base and the record voter turnout they constantly boast because of this very reason. They are so hot in the cuff about their current candidates they fail to realize it is just dividing the party further. Finally, independents looking on will gravitate to the party that seems to have a bit more organization, or will not vote at all. Let cooler heads prevail. If a candidate will more than likely win let he/she win don't refuse to "pass the ball" because the running back might get all the glory?
Thank you Meno, this is the kind of insightful answer I was looking for. Something to get the brain cells engaged, Mr. Allen
